To give customers greater access to technical support and a more streamlined route to service, crane and hoist specialist CP Automation has launched its new range of branded wireless radio systems. The new range will bring the company’s branding across its wireless radio portfolio as it continues to grow its sales and market share in the sector, while improving control over supply and customer support.
The wireless radio systems are designed primarily for overhead travelling cranes and hoists, with applications also extending into elevator installation and commissioning. By providing wireless control, operators can work from safer positions where traditional wired pendants may no longer be practical, improving flexibility and safety across a range of industrial applications.
A key feature of CP Automation’s offering is how the systems are supplied. Each package includes one receiver and two transmitters, providing an immediate spare if a transmitter is lost or damaged. Rather than waiting for a replacement system or an engineer to install a backup pendant, customers can switch to the spare transmitter while the original is repaired or replaced. This can help minimise disruption and keep downtime to a minimum.
“This is more than a rebrand,” explained Andy Swann, global business manager – cranes and power transmission at CP Automation. “It’s the next step in strengthening our product portfolio, and it’s about making it much clearer for customers where they can go for support. Our cranes department has grown significantly over the last few years, and we want customers to see the CPA brand and know they can come to us directly for technical support.”
The complete range includes three distinct solutions, complementing CP Automation’s existing Tele Radio wireless radio portfolio. These include heavy-duty systems designed for industrial equipment such as overhead travelling cranes, hoists and other material-handling machinery; dual-transmitter systems, which provide a spare transmitter to support easy replacement and increased uptime; and a compact two-button system for powered lifting machines and applications requiring straightforward wireless control.
The new range gives customers a simpler way to specify and support wireless control systems, with CP Automation providing a single point of contact from initial selection through to ongoing technical assistance. Its 24/7 support service also ensures help is available outside normal office hours, helping customers resolve issues quickly and keep their operations moving.
