PEL106 Power Energy Logger
The PEL106 power logger measures and records all the useful data for energy consumption diagnostics. The PEL106 can be used without cutting off the mains power supply.
Ergonomics
Rugged thanks to its IP67 all-terrain casing, the PEL106 can be transported anywhere. It is equipped with 4 voltage channels and 4 current channels.
No more battery problems: this logger is self-powered directly via the phase.
The LCD screen with backlighting and a quadruple digital display is particularly easy to read. The PEL 106 is equipped with an SD/SD-HC card for backup of the data from several months or even years.
Measurements
Suitable for all types of electrical networks, the PEL106 automatically recognizes the sensors connected. It measures voltage up 1,000 VAC/VDC and current up to 10 kAAC / 5 kADC. Its wide measurement ranges enable it to record power values up to 10 GW/Gvar/GVA, and energy up to 4 EWh/EVAh/Evarh.
It is equipped with an Alarm mode. The user can define limits and a list of events is recorded.
Analogue Measurements
When used with remote L452 loggers, the PEL106 can recording external parameters such as the temperature, pressure, engine torque, etc., and thus refine the analysis if you are troubleshooting malfunctions, for example. This function on the PEL106 is ideal for applications involving new energies such as wind (electrical energy linked to the strength of the wind).
Ultra-Communicating
The PEL106 is equipped with multiple communication modes: USB, Ethernet, Bluetooth, Wifi and 3G/GPRS. The new 3G/GPRS mode allows users to insert a SIM card in the PEL for remote connection via a GSM. When an alarm is triggered, users can automatically receive an email alert.
When access to the PEL106 is complex due to protective measures on secure IT networks, the measurements can be viewed via an IRD server.
Software
The PEL Transfer software can be used to analyse the data recorded with the PEL100 models. On the basis of the power measurement campaigns performed, the software automatically provides a breakdown of the losses detected.
New: the software directly calculates the cost of the power consumed and gives the result in the local currency selected.
The DATAVIEW software platform can be used to generate reports. Users can set alarm thresholds on the various measurements made in order to obtain a customized measurement report.
Technical Datasheet
• IP67 all-terrain casing resistant to shock, UV light and high temperatures
• Communication via Wifi, 3G-UMTS/GPRS, LAN (Ethernet), Bluetooth and USB
• Self-powered via its voltage inputs up to 1,000 V
• Continuous recording with an interval of 200 ms between measurements
• Measurements as per the IEEE 1459 standard
• 4 voltage inputs & 4 current inputs
• Ideal for installation on electricity poles
Our PEL100 loggers can track even the slightest consumption in a factory, workshop, building, agency, etc. They simultaneously allow real-time consumption monitoring alongside historical and comparative analysis of consumption.
Predictive maintenance When installed for a long period in a cabinet, PEL100 loggers constantly monitor the active, apparent and reactive power values on the electrical network involved. This means they will instantly detect whenever the subscribed power threshold is exceeded.
With the software for automatically generating and printing reports, balance sheets, graphs or DataView® summaries, users can act quickly on the cause of this overconsumption which will lead to higher bills. Indeed, every time your subscribed power threshold is exceeded, your bill will increase.
Networking and centralized consumption management
By setting up several PEL100 loggers on a general electrical distribution system, local authorities for example can simplify their consumption management by controlling the allocation of the different types of consumption:
– street-lighting network
– common-area lighting network
– common service network
– general single-phase distribution network
– three-phase distribution network
Measuring the savings
The recordings made with PEL100 electrical
measuring instruments are time/date- stamped. This makes it very simple to measure the gains achieved by comparing the recordings before and after modifying the installation.
The reference is provided by the recordings from the PEL100 loggers before the modifications were made. You can then carry out the necessary work for maintenance or improvement
of the electrical network or equipment. A correctly-positioned PEL100 will quickly enable you to target the places where work is needed without delay.
Finally, a monitoring phase will help
you to determine whether the solutions implemented are sufficient and, above all, to accurately measure any savings achieved.
The monitoring by the PEL100 provides the recordings which will be compared with the reference.
PEL Transfer software
This application software allows:
☛ Configuration of PEL100 loggers
☛ Verification of the connections before starting to record
☛ Downloading of the measurements recorded in the PEL100 loggers
☛ Display of the various measurement and analysis results
With the comprehensive DataView® processing software, you can also create customized reports.
DataView® can thus be used to generate energy consumption reports more easily.
