Duty Cycle and Power

SP Series resistors are available with continuous power ratings of 250W and 400W. Continuous power ratings can be exceeded when power is applied for less than 100% of the time. Contact Cressall for additional details.

Resistance and Temperature

SP Series resistors are manufactured using high grade alloy elements. The resistance value of this changes little over the temperature range of the element. Contact Cressall for additional details

The surface temperature of the housing is 250°C, at rated power, with an ambient temperature of 20°C. The surface temperature will be lower in the presence of moving air.
